O laboratório de Matemática na formação de normalistas do Instituto de Educação General Flores da Cunha : memórias de ex-alunas

Abstract

Essa pesquisa é realizada no âmbito da História de Educação Matemática. O foco do estudo é pesquisar sobre o significado do Laboratório de Matemática (LM) do Instituto de Educação General Flores da Cunha (IE), de Porto Alegre, na formação de ex-normalistas participantes desta pesquisa. Para tal, foram realizadas coleta de dados através de entrevistas com duas ex-alunas do IE e a busca por documentos. Esta pesquisa possui cunho qualitativo utilizando como método a História Oral, embasando-se, predominantemente, em Garnica e Portelli. No diálogo com a História Oral, trabalhou-se com a análise das memórias narradas, nas quais estão presentes os vestígios de formação no curso normal dessas ex-alunas. Observou-se, neste trabalho, duas diferentes representações da formação de ex-normalistas quanto à matemática e ao LM. Enquanto uma entrevistada apresentou mais elementos relacionados com a sua formação na área de humanas e o IE, a outra narrou uma forte ligação com a matemática e o LM do IE.

This study is carried out within the framework of the History of Mathematics Education. The focus of the study is to investigate the meaning of the Mathematics Laboratory (LM) of the Education Institute General Flores da Cunha (IE) in Porto Alegre, Brazil, for the formation of the ex-normalists that participating in this research. For this, a data collection was carried out through interviews with two IE ex-students and the search for documents. This research is qualitative using Oral History as its method, based predominantly on Garnica and Portelli. In the dialogue with the Oral History, this research uses the analysis of the narrated memories, in which are vestiges of formation in the normal course of these ex-students. In this work, we observed two different representations of the formation of ex-normalists in mathematics and LM. While one interview presented more historical traces regarding her training in the area of Humanities and the IE, the other narrated a strong connection with Mathematics and the LM of the IE.
