Este trabalho tem como objetivo relativizar a personagem Dúnia, do conto "O chefe da estação" de Aleksandr S. Púchkin, escritor russo do século XIX. Este trabalho tem como objetivo relativizar a personagem Dúnia, do conto "O chefe da estação" de Aleksandr S. Púchkin, escritor russo do século XIX. Primeiramente, foram apresentadas considerações culturais e históricas sobre a vida do autor e do contexto de publicação de Contos de Belkin (1831), obra em que o conto foi originalmente publicado. Após, foram analisadas duas possibilidades opostas de leitura do conto, elas foram: i) Dúnia fugiu por decisão própria, ii) Dúnia foi levada contra a sua vontade. A análise procurou, dentro do texto literário, por indícios que sustentassem as duas possibilidades propostas. Através das teorias de Greta Olson, Umberto Eco, Roland Barthes e Hans Hobert Jauss foi identificado que a ambiguidade e incompletude são características inerentes à literatura, validando não somente as possibilidades propostas pelo estudo, mas também uma pluralidade de leituras que podem ir além das duas proposições. ...

This work's objective is to relativize the character Dunia, from the short story "The Stationmaster" by Aleksandr S. Puchkin, a russian writer of the XIX century. Firstly, it was presented cultural and historical considerations about the author's life and the publication context of The Belkin Tales (1831), work in which the short story was originally published. After that two opposite possibilities of reading were analysed, namely: i) Dunia runned away by her own choice, ii) Dunia was taken away against her will. Within the literary text, the analysis investigated for evidences that would support both proposals of reading. Through the theories of Greta Olson, Umberto Eco, Roland Barthes, and Hans Hobert Jauss, it was identified that ambiguity and incompleteness are inherent characteristics of literature, validating not only the possibilities proposed by the study, but also a plurality of readings that may go beyong both proposals. ...
