dc.description.abstractAnálise da utilização de literatura de divulgação científica - Os botões de Napoleão: as 17 moléculas que mudaram a história - como recurso didático no ensino de química. Discuto a importância do uso da literatura de divulgação científica a partir de uma experiência desenvolvida com três turmas de ensino médio de uma escola pública de Porto Alegre durante o estudo das Funções Químicas. Concomitante ao estudo sistemático dos conteúdos foi desenvolvida uma atividade teatral a partir da leitura de alguns capítulos selecionados do livro. Ao longo das atividades três questionários foram apresentados aos alunos a fim de verificar as possíveis mudanças no conhecimento deles sobre as funções químicas e suas influências no cotidiano e na história mundial. Os resultados indicaram o desenvolvimento principalmente das noções de ciência na história e das relações das moléculas estudadas com o dia-a-dia dos estudantes, apontando a relevância da literatura de divulgação científica como recurso didático.pt_BR
dc.description.abstractAnalysis of the use of a popularisation of science literature - Napoleon’s buttons: how 17 molecules changed history - as a didactic resource in teaching chemistry. I discuss the importance on using the popularisation of science literature in a didactic experiment with three high school classes in Porto Alegre public school, during the study of chemical functions. Concomitant with the systematic study of the subject, it was developed a scenic activity started on the reading some selected chapters of the book. During the activities, three questionnaires were presented to students. The questionnaires were on the chemical functions and their influence on daily life and in world history. The results indicated mainly the development of the concepts of science in the history and relationships of the molecules studied with the day-to-day lives of students, indicating the relevance of the popularisation of science literature as a teaching resource.en
