Implicações do estilo de apego individual na qualidade conjugal

Abstract

Este trabalho teve por objetivo verificar as implicações do estilo de apego individual na qualidade conjugal. Para tanto, foram realizados três estudos, apresentados em três artigos. O Artigo I é uma revisão sistemática da literatura sobre estilo de apego e conjugalidade. Foi identificado que o estilo de apego se manifesta em aspectos individuais, conjugais e contextuais do relacionamento. Posterior à revisão sistemática, o segundo estudo, relatado no Artigo II, apresenta uma análise da correspondência entre o que 25 casais heterossexuais do sul do Brasil que coabitavam há, no mínimo, 6 meses consideravam como qualidade conjugal e o conteúdo medido pelos instrumentos que avaliam esse construto. A análise temática das entrevistas com os casais identificou cinco temas que correspondem parcialmente ao conteúdo que os instrumentos multidimensionais se propõem a avaliar no que diz respeito à qualidade conjugal. No terceiro estudo, relatado no Artigo III, analisou-se a manifestação do estilo de apego na qualidade conjugal a partir de três casos de casais-tipo: estilo de apego seguro, inseguro e ansioso. Foi identificado que o estilo de apego seguro resultava em maiores níveis de qualidade conjugal, e o estilo de apego inseguro-ansioso em níveis mais baixos.

The aim of this study was to verify the implication of attachment style in marital quality. To achieve this objective, three studies were realized, divided in three papers. Paper I is a systematic review about attachment style and conjugality. It was identified that attachment style manifests itself in individual, marital and contextual aspects of the relationship. After the systematic review, the secod study, reported in Paper II, shows an analyze of the correspondence between what 25 couples from the south of Brazil, who have lived together for the past 6 months, considered as marital quality and the content measured by the instruments who measure the construct. The thematic analysis from this collect identified five themes that partially correspond to the content that the multidimensional instruments propose to measure concerning marital quality. In the third study, reported in Paper III, it was analyzed the manifestation of attachment style in marital quality from three type-couples: secure, avoidant-insecure and anxious-insecure attachment styles. It was identified that secure attachment style resulted in higher levels of marital quality, and the anxious-insecure attachment style in lower levels.
