dc.description.abstract | Este trabalho é uma reflexão sobre o fenômeno do Cangaço e seu confronto com o Coronelismo, dois grandes aspectos sociais que marcaram a vida nordestina e que contribuíram decisivamente para a formação da identidade do homem do sertão. Na primeira parte, após a introdução, foi feito um esboço da história do Cordel com menção às principais características do homem e do ambiente onde esta literatura floresceu. A seguir, como exemplo concreto, fez-se a análise do poema O sertanejo Antônio Cobra Choca de João José da Silva, ressaltando-se, principalmente, a importância do bandido do sertão como personagem do Cordel, discorrendo sobre o modo como esse personagem se faz aceito pelos leitores no folheto, transformando-se em vingador e em herói dos leitores sertanejos. | pt |
dc.description.abstract | This paper aims to present a study on the Cangaço phenomenon and its confrontation with the powerful landowners, named colonels, two major social issues which marked the Northeast life in Brazil. In the first part, after the introduction, the article presents a resumed history of the Cordel literature with its main characteristics and the environment where this literature flourished. The second part analyses the poem O Sertanejo Antônio Cobra Choca, by João José da Silva. That will highlight the importance of the bandit as a central Cordel character and explain how such a character makes himself accepted by the readers of Cordel literature, transforming himself into a hero. | en |
