Objetivo:verificar o conhecimento de gestantes sobre triagem auditiva neonatal universal (TANU) antes e depois de orientações fonoaudiológicas.Métodos:estudo retrospectivo, observacional, caracterizado por ensaio clínico de braço único. Foram entrevistadas 91 gestantes, que responderam um questionário sobre TANU antes e depois de orientações. Resultados: antes das orientações fornecidas, 70,3% das participantes ouviram falar sobre a TANU, mas dentre as 91 gestantes pesquisadas 74,7% não souberam referenciar por que realizar o teste. Após orientação, 96,7% das participantes referiram conhecer o teste.Apenas 48,4% das participantes não souberam referenciar porque é importante realizar o teste, reduzindo o percentual em35% após orientações.Conclusão: Constatou-se a eficácia das informações de gestantes acerca da TANU após orientações fonoaudiológicas, o que confirma a necessidade de ações informativas pelos fonoaudiólogos e demais profissionais envolvidos nos programas de pré-natal. ...
