O objetivo principal deste estudo foi analisar o sistema de avaliação de desempenho do Banco do Brasil S/A, a Gestão de Desempenho por Competências, segundo a percepção dos funcionários de dez agências da regional Porto Alegre. Primeiramente foi apresentado processo de avaliação de desempenho e seus objetivos. O método utilizado para realização deste estudo foi a pesquisa descritiva através de aplicação de um questionário à população pesquisada. Partindo dos resultados da pesquisa realizou-se a análise do processo atual comparando a percepção dos funcionários com os objetivos do modelo. Vale destacar que os resultados da pesquisa são representativos para a região de Porto Alegre e seria inadequado usá-los levando em conta toda a organização. Na análise identificou-se a necessidade de melhorias no processo atual com vistas a aproximar o resultado prático dos objetivos propostos pela Gestão de Desempenho por Competências. Também a partir da análise foi possível sugerir algumas melhorias no processo de avaliação de desempenho a fim de minimizar problemas enfrentados pelo modelo, podendo essas melhorias ser aplicadas e beneficiar não somente esse, como outros modelos de avaliação que venham a ser implementados na organização. ...
