Abstract in Portuguese (Brasil)

Several avian species of both orders present their main migratory routes in the Americas, mainly coming from North America to the south of the continent during the breeding season. To date, there has been no clinical and laboratory diagnosis of the disease in Brazil. However, Brazil is on the migratory route of some bird species, leading to great concern about the risk of an outbreak of avian influenza in the country.
