dc.description.abstract | Though dictionaires hold the appearance of lexical catalogues, they are constituted as texts with their own rules for the production of meaning. As such, they take the value of a didactic discourse that under the appearance of neutrality, exert strong influence on society’s linguistic behaviors. In order to bring to light the non-neutrality (absence of neutrality) of the lexicographical discourse, the author undertakes an analysis of the entry woman in a set of dictionaires of Portuguese language from a point of view that conceives this semantic microcosm as a place of tension between the individual and the collective. | en |
