Projeto editorial sobre refugiados no Rio Grande do Sul

Abstract

O refúgio é um tema complexo, que exige a integração das diversas áreas do conhecimento para a proposta de soluções eficazes. Sendo o design um domínio multidisciplinar, sua contribuição a esta problemática se faz pertinente. Assim, o presente trabalho consiste no desenvolvimento do projeto editorial e gráfico de um livro cujo objetivo é humanizar os refugiados presentes no Rio Grande do Sul frente à comunidade local. Equilibrando aspectos sociais e técnicos relativos ao design, a metodologia do projeto é adaptada a partir do método de Matté para produtos gráfico-impressos e do conceito de Design Centrado no Ser Humano. Na primeira metade do trabalho, são realizadas as fases de imersão, coletando diversos dados sobre refúgio e design editorial, e de conceituação, a partir da qual se traçam os requisitos e restrições do projeto. A parte seguinte do trabalho consiste nas fases de criação, onde são geradas alternativas para o problema, execução, onde se realiza a alternativa selecionada, e aprendizagem, onde se reflete sobre o projeto.

Asylum is a complex subject that requires the integration of different areas of knowledge for the proposal of effective solutions. Since design is a multidisciplinary domain, its contribution to this problem becomes relevant. Thus, the present work consists of the development of the editorial and graphic project of a book which aims to humanize the refugees currently located in Rio Grande do Sul in the eyes of the local community. Balancing social and technical aspects related to design, the project methodology is adapted from Matté's method for graphic-printed products and the concept of Human-Centered Design. In the first half of the project, the phases of immersion and conceptualization are done. These involve, respectively, collecting data both about asylum and editorial design, and mapping the requirements as well as the restrictions of the project. The following part of the project consists in the phases of creation, where alternative solutions are proposed to the initial problem, execution, where the selected alternative solution is developed, and learning, where one thinks about the overall impact of the project.
