Este trabalho trata sobre o uso de técnicas de moderação de tráfego, também conhecido como traffic calming, para reduzir as velocidades dos veículos em zonas urbanas. O objetivo foi verificar a importância da combinação de medidas de moderação de tráfego para garantir que o limite de velocidade imposto não seja superado por mais de 15% dos condutores. Inicialmente foi realizado um estudo sobre as características individuais das diferentes medidas específicas, suas vantagens e desvantagens. Em seguida, foram verificados os comportamentos de volumes e de velocidades praticados em uma via da zona central do município de Feliz, no interior do Rio Grande do Sul. A via estudada, que integra uma zona com limite de velocidade de 30 km/h, apresenta duas lombadas em um trecho de, aproximadamente, 490 metros. As velocidades coletadas ao longo desse percurso serviram para estudar o comportamento dos motoristas perante as medidas. Comparações foram feitas entre os resultados apurados com o que está disponível na literatura. A partir dessas análises, foi possível identificar a importância do uso de medidas de moderação de tráfego e, principalmente, a importância de fazer combinações entre a grande variedade de opções disponíveis para atingir os objetivos propostos. ...
