Em três atos : jovens e teatro

Abstract

Esta pesquisa tem por objetivo refletir sobre jovens e teatro na sociedade contemporânea. A partir de questionamentos como "quem são os jovens?" e "o que os leva a fazer ou assistir teatro?", a presente dissertação caminha na tentativa de desvelar e compreender as relações entre os jovens (atores, alunos ou espectadores) com o teatro. Para tanto, fiz uso dos mais diversos referenciais teóricos (em destaque: PAIS e BOAL), sustentados por uma metodologia e análise respaldada por autores filiados a Escola de Frankfurt (ADORNO e HORKHEIMER). Estes, por sua vez, permitiram uma perspectiva crítica sobre a indústria cultural e possibilidades apontadas pela formação de emancipação e autonomia. Para este estudo foram realizadas entrevistas e observações participantes com jovens inseridos no meio teatral. As análises foram feitas com base no material empírico registrado à luz do quadro teórico descrito anteriormente. Esta dissertação, mais do que respostas, visa suscitar questionamentos a partir das falas significativas dos jovens acerca do teatro, levando em consideração a sociedade em que estamos inseridos.

This research aims to think about the youths in the contemporary society. From questions such as "who are the youths?" and "what brings them to theatre, as actors or spectators?", the present dissertation makes the effort and tries to uncover and comprehend the relations between the youths (actors, students or spectators) and theatre. Therefore I employed the most diverse theoretical references (specially: PAIS and BOAL) supported by a methodology and analysis based in authors proceeded from the Frankfurt School (ADORNO and HORKHEIMER). They, in turn, allowed a critical viewpoint about the cultural industry and the possibility indicated by the constitution of emancipation and autonomy. In such case, observations and interviews have been done with the youths who are inserted in the theatrical surroundings. The analysis have been done, thus, based in the registered empirical material through the theoretical roll earlier described. More than answers, this work angles to evoke questions from the significant discourse of the youths concerning theatre, considering the society in which we are inserted.
