A análise de produtividade interna de uma empresa considerando a eficiência de suas unidades de produção vem tomando cada vez mais espaço dentro da engenharia de processos. Por esse motivo, o presente trabalho estudou diferentes métodos de eficiência energética e exergética de uma planta de separação de ar, avaliando aspectos como a vazão de produto obtida e a energia gasta no processo em dois modos de operação diferentes. Primeiramente foi elaborado um modelo que se adequasse às condições reais de processo, e posteriormente houve a elaboração de um índice de eficiência energético e um de eficiência exergética. As simulações realizadas para a obtenção dos índices foram realizadas no software Aspen Plus, variando as razões dos splits D04, D05 e D06 do processo. A variação do split D04 visou a análise da influência do aumento da vazão de nitrogênio como refluxo para o processo, enquanto o D06 modificou a vazão de nitrogênio para expedição. A mudança na razão do split D05 visou a mudança no comportamento dos índices em um modo de operação diferente. O primeiro modo de operação visa a máxima recuperação de nitrogênio do processo, quanto o segundo visa a máxima recuperação de oxigênio. Para as variações realizadas os resultados foram conforme o esperado, tendo em ambas as eficiências um crescimento à medida que a vazão dos produtos aumenta e uma tendência de baixa quando a vazão dos produtos diminui. No segundo modo de operação, a tendência quanto ao aumento de eficiência não possui valores expressivos devido ao alto grau de recuperação de oxigênio já no modo de operação usual do processo. ...
