dc.description.abstract	The article analyses the challenges modern historiography faces from recent postmodern tendencies. It points out the deficiences of these new tendencies, but also suggests that some changes are necessary in current historiography in order to take into account and respond to some valid criticism. According to the article, there is a need for an awakening of reason to correct the mistakes and problems caused by a “sleeping” reason.	en
