Contribuciones del pensamiento social latinoamericano para los estudios organizacionales : Fals Borda, Marini y Fernández Retamar

Abstract

Este artículo aborda algunos elementos centrales de tres autores clásicos del pensamiento social latinoamericano: Roberto Fernández Retamar, Orlando Fals Borda y Ruy Mauro Marini. La elección no es arbitraria, lleva en consideración su relevancia para el conocimiento de la realidad social y económica del continente latinoamericano. Nuestra localización en los estudios organizacionales nos ha impulsado a la pregunta, ¿cuáles son las contribuciones del pensamiento social latinoamericano para los estudios organizacionales? Una cuestión demasiado amplia y que nos exige un esfuerzo de movimiento en el que salimos por un momento de lo que se comprende como “nuestro campo” para después regresar a él con ricos aportes. Entre los resultados se destacan la necesidad de comprender los determinantes de la realidad local y regional, el compromiso de los estudios organizacionales con la misma, y el rol del investigador en las posibilidades de la transformación social.

This essay approaches some of the core elements of three classic authors of the Latin American social thinking: Roberto Fernández Retamar, Orlando Fals Borda and Ruy Mauro Marini. The choice of these three authors is not arbitrary, but takes into account the relevance of their ouvre to understand the socioeconomic reality of the continent. Belonging to the Organization Studies drove us to the question: What are the contributions of the Latin American social thinking to OS? This question is wide and demands an effort of moving from what is understood as the field of OS to get back to it with rich contributions. Amongst the results, it is highlighted the necessity of understanding the determinants of regional and local reality; the commitment of the OS with this reality itself; the role played by the researcher in the possibilities of social change.
