Serviço militar obrigatório no Brasil : condições de vida e trabalho do recruta

Abstract

O serviço militar é obrigatório no Brasil, sendo, inclusive, previsto na Constituição Federal. Dessa forma, todo jovem do sexo masculino no ano em que completar dezoito anos deve se alistar, podendo vir a servir ou não. Segundo o sítio eletrônico do Ministério da Defesa, dois milhões de jovens se alistaram somente no ano de 2016, vindo a incorporar uma quantia de, aproximadamente, 100 mil recrutas. Tendo em vista que parte destes jovens cumpre o serviço militar obrigatório contra a sua própria vontade, surge aí a necessidade de se compreender as condições de vida e trabalho da principal e mais numerosa força de trabalho do Exército Brasileiro: o recruta. Além de discutir sobre a questão da vontade própria em cumprir o serviço militar inicial, também é de vital relevância discutir, concomitantemente, o fato de que o soldo que será recebido por estes jovens recém-incorporados, isto é, o salário oriundo do seu trabalho, será inferior ao salário mínimo. Por último, porém não menos importante, é também crucial discutir sobre as particularidades da profissão militar, tendo em vista que o recruta, uma vez incorporado à caserna, passa a envergar a farda verde-oliva e cumprir uma série de obrigações compatíveis com a profissão, tais como: postura, disciplina, camaradagem, higiene, etc. Além disso, absoluto respeito à hierarquia vigente dentro das Forças Armadas. Assim, de posse destas informações importantes a respeito da atividade militar, procura-se compreender melhor as relações de trabalho existentes nas Forças Armadas, bem como analisar as condições de vida do soldado brasileiro.

Lastly, but not less important, is the particularities of the military profession. The recruit, once incorporated into the Army, shall wear the olive green uniform and meet a number of obligations compatible with the profession, such as: posture, discipline, camaraderie, hygiene, etc. In addition, absolute respect for the existing hierarchy within the military. Thus, in possession of this important information about the military activity, seeks to better understand the working relationship in the military and to examine the living conditions of the Brazilian soldier.
