Análise das citações dos trabalhos de pós-graduação da Faculdade de Educação da UFRGS: periódicos mais citados

Abstract

Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliométrica que tem por objetivo verificar quais os periódicos mais citados pelos alunos que defenderam trabalhos no Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação (PPGEDU) na Faculdade de Educação da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), no ano de 2014. Para isso esse estudo pretende arrolar os títulos das teses e dissertações do PPGEDU defendidas no ano de 2014; identificar as características desses trabalhos: Tipologia (tese ou dissertação) e Linhas de Pesquisa dentro das quais os trabalhos foram desenvolvidos; analisar as referências bibliográficas das teses e dissertações defendidas; identificar os periódicos mais citados; identificar as características dos periódicos mais citados: Qualis, Nacionalidade, Periodicidade e Instituição a que está vinculado.O corpus desse trabalho constitui-se de 15.695 citações analisadas das quais 1.776 foram referências a periódicos. O periódico mais citado foi a Revista Educação e Realidade, publicada pela UFRGS, caracterizando um fenômeno de endogenia. As linhas de pesquisa mais frequentes foram Arte, Linguagem e Currículo e Trabalho, Movimentos Sociais e Educação, ambas da área das artes e cultura. A maioria dos periódicos mais citados têm Qualis A2, caracterizando uma busca por qualidade por parte dos autores das teses e dissertações analisadas. Os trabalhos com maior número de referências totais foram também os trabalhos que mais citaram periódicos. Conclui verificando a importância que esse tipo de estudo pode ter para que se conheça o comportamento de determinada área da ciência bem como para auxiliar na composição do acervo de uma biblioteca universitária.

It is a bibliometric research that aims to verify which periodicals most cited by the students who defended works in the Postgraduate Program in Education (PPGEDU) in the School of Education of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), in the year of 2014. For this purpose, this study intends to list the titles of theses and dissertations of PPGEDU defended in 2014; Identify the characteristics of these works: Typology (thesis or dissertation) and Lines of Research within which the works were developed; To analyze the bibliographic references of the theses and dissertations defended; Identify the most cited periodicals; Identify the characteristics of the most cited periodicals: Qualis, Nationality, Periodicity and Institution to which it is bound. The corpus of this work constitutes of 15,695 analyzed citations, of which 1,776 were references to periodicals. The most cited journal was the Revista Educação e Realidade (Journal of Education and Reality), published by UFRGS, characterizing a phenomenon of endogeny. The most frequent lines of research were Art, Language and Curriculum and Work, Social Movements and Education, both in the area of arts and culture. The majority of the periodicals most cited have Qualis A2, characterizing a quest for quality by the authors of the theses and dissertations analyzed. The works with the greatest number of total references were also the works that most cited periodicals. It concludes by verifying the importance that this type of study can have so that it is known the behavior of a certain area of science as well as to help in the composition of the collection of a university library.
