This study presents the results of a exploratory research about the talent show MasterChef Brasil, produced and transmitted in the free to air TV channel Rede Bandeirantes since 2014. The focus was to identify and analyse the elements on TV and internet that composed the narrative of the program’s 2015 and 2016 season finales. For that purpose, many methodological procedures were performed, among them are: bibliographical and documental research; systematic monitoring of the TV program and use of the YouTube site for episode analysis ; unsystematic observation of MasterChef Brasil in social networks (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram); decoupage of the two studied episodes; and corpus description and analysis. As a result of this exercise, it is worth mentioning the different uses of live and recorded languages conducted by the program production. Regarding MasterChef Brasil repercussion on the internet, the strategies of the program’s official channels were the same on both finales. However, the repercussion on the social networks was different due to identified narrative changes, which reflected on the comments made by the audience. With the present study, it was possible to observe the characteristics of the reconfiguration process that television is passing through in Brazil and in the world. For the program analysis, a theoretical referential was adopted in order to understand the so-called “end of television” (CARLÓN, 2014; FECHINE, 2014; SCOLARI, 2014) and the implications of this scenario on the audience practices (OROZCO, 2005; 2010; 2011; 2014). Among the main concepts of this study are Social TV (FECHINE, 2013; FECHINE & BRONSZTEIN, 2015; SIGILIANO & BORGES, 2016) and hypertelevision (SCOLARI, 2014). It is also worth highlighting the dialogue with authors that study global and local aspects of MasterChef as well as the format specificities of this global production (HOLZBACH, 2016; MARQUIONI & OLIVEIRA, 2015; MARQUIONI & ANDACHT, 2016a, 2016b; VILELA & JEFFMAN, 2016). ...
