The Specialized Dental Center (CEO) constitutes one of the lines of action of the National Policy of Oral Health and aims to ensure the secondary care, providing the extension and the qualification of Specialist Care in Oral Health (Goes et al., 2012). Aiming to find out the service's profile in the area of Endodontics from the Specialized Dental Center of FO-UFRGS, a questionnaire was formulated on the basis of the federal document of Manual Skills in Oral Health (2008), plus questions that characterize the user profile, and applied to trainees active in CEO. The sample totaled 50 cases, obtained by convenience, in consecutive sample, collected during the period from March to May 2015 The study showed the following results: 68% of the cases were conducted by trainees of post-graduation; the profile of users forwarded was, in their majority, female (62%), aged 31 to 50 years (44%), and caucasian (60%); the most forwarded teeth were the first molars and maxillary central incisor (12% each); in most cases the tooth was in conditions compatible with those recommended by the Manual Skills in Oral Health (2008); in 54% of cases, 2 consultations were necessary for the completion of the treatments; the elapsed time between the date of the delivery of Primary Care and treatment in CEO was, in 52% of cases, less than 06 months and the reference sheet needs to offer more details about the current condition of the tooth and the reasons for referral in relation to its fulfillment. Thus, this study has worked both for the characterization of the user profile of CEOs and the description of the aspects related to their care. The main contribution of this research was to describe the profile of the user and to point out flaws in the interface primary and secondary care, so that strategies may be imposed in order to ensure fairness, integrity, efficiency and effectiveness in attention to oral health. ...
