Simulação de deformação permanente em camadas asfálticas : dependência da velocidade de aplicação da carga e da temperatura

As deformações permanentes estão entre as degradações induzidas pelas solicitações de tráfego mais comuns presentes nos pavimentos com revestimento asfáltico. As deformações permanentes estão entre as degradações induzidas pelas solicitações de tráfego mais comuns presentes nos pavimentos com revestimento asfáltico. Estas deformações acontecem devido à passagem dos veículos no pavimento. Parte das deformações causadas pelos veículos é recuperada (deformação elástica) e a outra parte persiste ao longo do tempo (deformação permanente). Costumeiramente admite-se que a mistura asfáltica pode ser razoavelmente modelada como um material viscoelástico linear, de forma que o seu módulo complexo de elasticidade depende da temperatura e da taxa de aplicação de carga. No presente trabalho, mostram-se, através de simulações computacionais feitas com o software 3D-MOVE, as deformações permanentes que ocorrem na camada asfáltica de um pavimento flexível para diferentes intensidades de tráfego, velocidades dos veículos e temperatura da camada. Para tal, definiu-se uma geometria comum às simulações e um semieixo padrão. Por limitação do software utilizado, para cada simulação, mantiveram-se fixas a temperatura da camada e a velocidade dos veículos. A curva mestra da mistura, que avalia o módulo complexo, utilizada foi obtida através de um relatório fornecido por um renomado laboratório brasileiro, sendo esta mistura empregada em uma importante rodovia do estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Como principal resultado, obteve-se que as deformações permanentes crescem com o aumento da temperatura e que decrescem com o aumento da velocidade dos veículos. Em especial, para temperaturas da ordem de 50°𝐶, os valores das deformações aumentaram de forma significativa. Isto indica que, se a temperatura do pavimento aproxima-se facilmente deste valor com frequência no seu lugar de emprego, as deformações permanentes causadas no pavimento podem abreviar a sua vida de maneira significativa. Ressalta-se que trabalhos como este são benéficos para tomadas de decisão, uma vez que ajudam no entendimento global de um problema real. ...
