Abstract
The derivation of explicit expressions for the effective dielectric tensor to be utilized in the dispersion relation for weakly inhomogeneous plasmas is discussed. The general expressions obtained are useful for situations with simultaneous existence of weak inhomogeneities in density and magnetic field.
