Produção científica da Revista ConTexto : uma análise do período de 2001 a 2014

Abstract

Este estudo tem por objetivo analisar o perfil da produção científica dos artigos da Revista ConTexto no período de 2001 a 2014, com a análise da autoria dos artigos; do perfil dos autores quanto ao gênero, formação, Instituição de Ensino Superior de origem e redes de colaboração; o foco dos artigos e a fundamentação teórica; os métodos e tipologias de pesquisa utilizadas; e as referências citadas pelos autores. Esta pesquisa se classifica como qualitativa, descritiva e documental. Foram analisados os 178 artigos publicados nos 14 anos de existência do periódico. Os resultados apontaram que a maioria dos autores são do gênero masculino (59,29%) e que 35% possuem o título de doutor. O autor Paulo Schmidt foi o mais produtivo com 12 publicações. A instituição de ensino a qual os autores estão vinculados que se destacou foi a Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (17,11%). Observou-se a preferência em desenvolvimento de trabalhos com três autores. As redes de cooperação demonstraram que os autores Jair Fagundes, Marco de Souza e Simone Raimundini apresentaram maior centralidade com 9 laços. Em relação aos temas ensino e pesquisa, contabilidade societária e contabilidade de custos equivalem a 55% do total de artigos publicados. Quanto às referências bibliográficas, foi constatado que existe uma maior utilização de livros nacionais e internacionais para a realização da pesquisa científica. Denotou-se que a maioria dos artigos analisados possuem classificação metodológica qualitativa (31%), descritiva (38%) e bibliográfica (26%). O exame de tais resultados permite observar que a produção científica relaciona-se a ampliação de programas de pós-graduação strictu sensu, nos quais os professores doutores atuam e concentram suas produções, contribuindo para o crescimento e desenvolvimento da área contábil.

The following study aims to analyze the profile of the scientific production from the articles published by the “ConTexto” magazine between the years of 2001 and 2014, by analyzing the authorship; the authors’ profile regarding gender, academic background, institution of higher education of origin, and collaborative networks; the articles’ focus and its theoretical grounds; the methods and typologies of the utilized researches; and the references quoted by the authors. This research is classified as qualitative, descriptive and documentary. The 178 articles published in the 14 years of the magazine’s existence were analyzed. The results indicated that most of the authors were male (59,29%) and 35% hold the title of “doctor”. The author Paulo Schmidt was the most productive, having published 12 articles. The higher education institution to which a more significant share of the authors (17,11%) has ties to is the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, or “Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul”. It was observed the preference for developing works among three authors. The collaborative networks show that the authors Jair Fagundes, Marco de Souza e Simone Raimundini have presented highest centrality, each having up to 9 links with different authors. Regarding the topics of teaching and research, the subjects of corporate accounting and cost accounting are equivalent to 55% of the published articles’ total. Concerning bibliographical references, it was found that both international and Brazilian published books were the most utilized. It was established that most of the articles have methodological classifications that are qualitative (31%), descriptive (38%), and bibliographic (26%). The examination of such results allows the observation of scientific production as being related to the growth of strictu sensu graduate programs, in which the professors doctors act and concentrate their production, contributing to the evolution and development of the accounting field.
