Volleyball is a sport that requires a high demand of the neuromuscular system due to game actions such as sprints, blocks and attacks be performed explosively and in short time, the current players have to be increasingly able to produce high force levels at high speed. The knowledge of how each periodization model influences the development of the dominant force components in volleyball assists in the correct prescription of training and distribution of loads aiming at continuous physical development of athletes. But few studies have been done with volleyball elite athletes seeking to know these answers. The aim of this study is to determine, compare and evaluate the development of dominant neuromuscular variables in volleyball in a linear periodization model. Thirteen volleyball players members of a team of national superalloy were evaluated. Neuromuscular variables such as strength, power and speed were evaluated in bench press and squat through portable Myotest pro system and vertical jump height in countermovement jump arm, countermovement jump and Squat jump on a contact mat. The Shapiro-Wilks and Levene tests to test for normality and homogeneity of data were applied. To verify differences in neuromuscular variables over time the repeated measures ANOVA test was applied. It was found that with the linear model of periodization in neuromuscular evaluated, there were significant improvements in strength and power with the Myotest and the height of the vertical jump SJ, CMJ and CMJA from basic preparation period to pre-competitive period, after these results stabilized and maintained during all the final stages of the mesocycle pre-competitive. ...
