Este artigo aborda a utilização do computador em sala de aula, em específico o UCA1 (Um Computador Por Aluno), e também, o uso do software GeoGebra2. Este artigo aborda a utilização do computador em sala de aula, em específico o UCA1 (Um Computador Por Aluno), e também, o uso do software GeoGebra2. Desta forma, tem o objetivo de relatar o primeiro contato de alunos de uma turma de 9º ano do Ensino Fundamental de uma escola municipal de Novo Hamburgo com uma proposta de investigação, onde o professor interfere o mínimo possível e, os alunos devem a partir do uso da geometria dinâmica chegar às suas próprias conclusões, incentivando-os a questionar e tomar decisões. Após, foi realizada uma discussão de socialização das respostas obtidas na investigação para que os discentes, com o intermédio do professor, compartilhassem suas conclusões e chegassem às definições e fórmulas. Foram produzidos arquivos no GeoGebra no qual os alunos, ao moverem as figuras, pudessem observar o que acontece com estas, a fim de que visualizassem a proveniência do cálculo da área, para então, chegar à dedução das fórmulas. Foi possível perceber que os alunos adquiriram a noção de variável em uma fórmula ou equação e aprenderam o cálculo da área do paralelogramo, do losango e do trapézio. ...
