Abstract in Portuguese (Brasil)
Abstract
This study presents a development of a high temperature and pressure standardized process piping by the software Caesar II. Initially the stress analysis is made using the ASME B31.3 code. Thus, it was done an elastic and elastic-plastic stress analysis on the components by finite elements (Abaqus) to aid to understand the methodology and to evaluate if the stress intensification factors (SIF) were able to pretend the geometric change effect. The SIF estimated the maximum secondary stress withi ...

Thus, it was done an elastic and elastic-plastic stress analysis on the components by finite elements (Abaqus) to aid to understand the methodology and to evaluate if the stress intensification factors (SIF) were able to pretend the geometric change effect. The SIF estimated the maximum secondary stress within maximum difference of 26.5%. However, the stress intensification factor could not evaluate with precise the maximum primary stress – difference about 132.6%. ...
