Abstract in Portuguese (Brasil)

Abstract
In this work, a method for robust controller design, applied to a system of two coupled tanks, was studied. In this work, a method for robust controller design, applied to a system of two coupled tanks, was studied. The formulation of the control specifications was made in the form of Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs), which were defined in order to satisfy certain pre-defined criteria. After defining a topology for the controller, a model for the plant and a form of representation of the performance requirements via LMIs, these were solved with the use of toolboxes available for MATLAB®, resulting in the controller’s gains. Different controllers were obtained by varying the project’s criteria, and simulations were made to understand their effects on the final result. ...
