This study shows that terminations can be attached to a sort of voluntary turnover that are hardly admitted, not only because of personal reasons and unhappiness with the employment activities, but also because of financial benefits offered to people who were fired. Here, it was verified that some of these benefits are the possibly reasons for the instrumentalisation of unemployment insurance. One possibility is that this mechanism would incitate terminations and the employees themselves would elaborate strategies based on their knowledge about the insurance: they would “force” their own termination, especially at the merchant sector. ...
