| pt_BR |
dc.description.abstract | Combustion is the most used process for energy generation. It claims for the most part of the energy used for electric and thermal energy production and transportation. However, this process is responsible for the formation of toxic products when it is performed poorly, like carbon monoxide and soot. Thus, the comprehension of the physical phenomena of the reaction is of fundamental importance so that the process may be executed in the most efficient way. One of the parameters that best describes a flame is its temperature field. So the goal of the present work is to measure the temperature field of laminar flames generated by natural gas and air. For that, a fine wire thermocouple was manufactured. A correction for radiation loss was applied. The instrument was validated by comparing the results of the measured and corrected temperatures to the adiabatic temperature of the flame, presenting a discrepancy of 0.9% when corrected. Measurements were performed in a laminar non-premixed flame showing coherent results. | en |
