A microgênese da classificação de minerais : os casos Anna e Vítor

Abstract

Esta pesquisa teve como objetivo a análise microgenética da solução de um problema complexo e extenso. Utilizou-se como suporte teórico as pesquisas em psicologia genética, principalmente aquelas realizadas por M. Saada-Robert. A tarefa constitui na identificação e classificação de uma coleção de nove minerais. Os sujeitos participantes da pesquisa dispunham de instrumentos necessários para a determinação das principais propriedades físicas e químicas das amostras minerais, bem como de informações de referência para a realização dos testes de identificação dos minerais. Também estava à disposição uma tabela contendo uma lista de cinquenta minerais com suas respectivas propriedades. Participaram desta pesquisa, oito sujeitos, entre 11 e 15 anos, estudantes do ensino fundamental. Dois sujeitos foram considerados exemplares e prototípicos quanto à forma de resolução da tarefa: Anna, organizada e sistemática, e Vítor, pouco organizado e aleatório. A análise desses casos prototípicos visou a identificar os procedimentos e as mudanças nas condutas cognitivas. Entende-se que a análise desses casos forneceu importantes informações sobre as construções individuais de conceitos considerados como fundamentais, como a classificação dos elementos químicos e das espécies minerais. Por fim, foi possível verificar que ao final da tarefa, apesar de suas diferenças, ambos os sujeitos chegaram às proposições de classificação semelhantes àquelas utilizadas na bibliografia especializada.

This research had as objective the microgenetic analysis of a complex and extended problem solving. The theoretical framework used was the genetic psychology, especially research conducted by M. Saada-Robert. The task involved the identification and classification of a collection of nine minerals. The subjects had the research tools needed to determine the main physical and chemical properties of mineral samples as well as reference information for the tests for identifying minerals. Also available was a table containing a list of fifty minerals with their properties. Eight subjects, elementary school students between 11 and 15 years, participated in this research. Regarding the way of solving the task, two subjects were considered prototypical: Anna, organized and systematic, and Victor, poorly organized and random. The analysis of these prototypical cases aimed to identify the procedures and changes in cognitive behavior. It is understood that the analysis of these cases provide important information about the individual constructions of concepts considered fundamental, such as the classification of chemical elements and mineral species. Finally, we found that at the end of the task, despite their differences, both subjects arrived to the proposals of classification similar to those used in the literature.
