Dentre as técnicas empregadas com o fim de aumentar as taxas de produção de poços petrolíferos encontra-se a elevação artificial por Gas-lift. No Brasil, até 2009, poços de extração que empregam esta técnica representavam mais de 70% da produção bruta de petróleo do país. Neste sentido, o presente trabalho analisou a dinâmica da região de operação caracterizada por um ciclo intermitente responsável por queda de produção. Utilizando modelos tipo caixa cinza propostos na literatura, reproduziu-se a dinâmica oscilatória caracterizada pelo ciclo-limite, chamada golfada. A partir destes, foi aplicada uma estrutura de controle PI feedback, manipulando a abertura da válvula de produção e controlando variáveis de processo medidas no topo da coluna de produção. Para controle da densidade da mistura no topo, foi possível conduzir o regime de escoamento para um estado livre das golfadas, em regiões oscilatórias em malha aberta. A ação de controle apresentou um ganho significativo de produção quando submetido aos dois tipos de mecanismos que geram o ciclo das golfadas. Foi possível o aumento da abertura da válvula de produção de até 125% para a golfada ocasionada por casing heading e até 100% para a golfada por density wave, para um regime livre das golfadas. ...
