A luta pela terra em imagens : Rio Grande do Sul, década de 1980

Abstract

Este trabalho se propôs a refletir em torno dos acervos fotográficos pessoais e institucionais, a fim de compreendê-los em suas dimensões sociais e políticas. Discute os fundamentos teóricos que orientam a relação entre a fotografia e o fato museal. Realiza uma contextualização histórica da luta pela terra, por meio de debates sobre a questão e as formas de organização dos movimentos sociais rurais no Rio Grande do Sul. Identifica os espaços políticos e institucionais que tais fotografias tiveram visibilidade. Problematiza alguns elementos fundamentais para se entender o processo de produção e circulação das imagens da luta pela terra na imprensa formal e alternativa. Caracteriza o conjunto fotográfico identificado na pesquisa para a realização do trabalho, mapeando o percurso que levou a sua localização em conjunto com a apresentação de seus respectivos autores: René Cabrales, Roberto Santos e Luiz Abreu. Analisa os conteúdos das fotografias sobre o movimento da luta pela terra, construindo um diálogo entre a análise das imagens e as narrativas dos fotógrafos autores, com vistas a identificar as representações presentes no conjunto estudado. Infere sobre a necessidade de contemplar na documentação museológica para acervos fotográficos aspectos sobre os sujeitos envolvidos na elaboração da fotografia. Enfatiza a narrativa como forma para composição dos contextos dos acervos. Apresenta a recorrência de duas variáveis antagônicas que transitam nos registros dos três fotógrafos na construção das representações: A Articulação, e o Poder, que podem compor a construção da memória e do patrimônio da luta pela terra.

This work proposes a reflection around personal and institutional photography collections in order to understand them in their social and political dimensions. Also discusses the theoretical approaches that guide the towards the photography and the museum fact. For that proposes performs a historical context of the fight for access to the land, through debates on the issue and the forms of organization of rural social movements in Rio Grande do Sul and identifies political and institutional spaces that such photographs had visibility. Put in question some key elements to understand the process of production and circulation of images of the fight for access to the land in formal and alternative press. Features photographic set identified in research to carry out the work, mapping the route that led to its location in dialog with the presentation of the respective authors: René Cabrales, Roberto Santos and Luiz Abreu. Analyzes the contents of the photographs of the movement of the fight for access to the land, building a dialogue between the analysis of the images and narratives of the authors photographers, in order to identify the representations present in the studied set. Infers about the need to consider documentation in museological aspects to photography collections about the agents involved in the development of photography. And emphasizes the narrative as important source in composition of the collections contexts. The analysis displays the recurrence of two conflicting variables transiting the records of the three photographers in the construction of representations: The Organization and the Power that could participate in the construction of memory and heritage of the fight for access to the land.
