Este artigo discute, a partir do enfoque de Ensino de Línguas por Tarefas (ELT), o papel de atividades que visam a aumentar a atenção do aprendiz nas etapas de pré- e pós-tarefa. Um grupo de 21 brasileiros, aprendizes adultos de inglês de nível intermediário, participou de um projeto de produção de um ‘guia’ contendo críticas de filmes. Durante as etapas de pré- e pós-tarefas, os participantes, divididos em três grupos, realizaram diferentes atividades que visavam ao aumento de atenção sobre aspectos textuais do gênero resenha crítica de filmes, assim como sobre aspectos gramaticais e lexicais relacionados à produção escrita de textos desse tipo. Os resultados demonstraram ganhos extremamente consistentes por parte dos aprendizes expostos a pré- e pós-tarefas de aumento da atenção a características textuais do gênero crítica de filmes. ...

Within a Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) approach, this article discusses the role of certain pre- and post-task activities that aim at enhancing learners’ focus of attention. Within a Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) approach, this article discusses the role of certain pre- and post-task activities that aim at enhancing learners’ focus of attention. A group of 21 intermediate adult learners of English took part in a project involving the production of a ‘movie guide’ containing movie reviews.
