Futuro? reflexões sobre burlesco e vídeo-burlesco

Abstract

Neste artigo, apresentam-sereflexões conceituais e metodológicas sobre a linguagem do cabaré e do burlesco contemporâneo, a partir da análise de uma das açõesda pesquisa Brinquedos, duplos e outros corpos performáticos: estética, erótica, política, desenvolvidana UFRGS: o processo de criação e apresentação da vídeo-performanceFuturo?, em 2021. Futuro?assumiu-se como interrogaçãoe lançou um olhar repaginado sobre elementosutilizados em obrasanteriores: brinquedos de corda, bichos de pelúcia, bonecos infláveis, máscaras de látex, próteses e outros truques, eletrodomésticos, glitter prata, alguma metalinguagem e muita ironia. Fragmentos de passado, acionados e friccionados no presente, tematizando e sendo assistidos no futuro. Dialogandocompesquisadores de burlesco,cabaré,teatro, dança e filosofia, o artigolevantaquestões sobreimplicações da pandemia de Covid-19 na criação performática, estabelecendo conexões e possibilidades paraartistas, pesquisadores eespectadores.

This article presents conceptual and methodological reflections on the language of cabaret and contemporary burlesque, based on the analysis of one of the actions of the research project Toys, doubles and other performative bodies: aesthetics, erotics, politics, developed at UFRGS: the process of creating and presenting the video-performance Future?in 2021. Future?assumed itself as an interrogation and took a fresh look at elements used in previous works: wind-up toys, plush animals, inflatable dolls, latex masks, prosthesesand other tricks, household devices, silver glitter, some metalanguage and a lot of irony. Fragments of the past, activated and frictioned in the present, thematizing and being watched in the future. Dialoguing with researchers in burlesque, cabaret, theater, dance and philosophy, the article raises questions about the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic for performance creation, establishing connections and possibilities for artists, researchers and spectators.
